Let`s go to Hungary!
This month we're going to Budapest where we visit the Museum of Fine Arts. We can explore the three floors virtually as well as view some of the drawings and prints in a current exhibition there. Dóra Maurer is an avant garde Hungarian artist whose artwork was featured recently in the Tate Modern. You can see some of her work below.

Dóra Maurer (born 1937)
From 2019 until January 2021, the Tate Modern held an exhibition of the works of the influential Hungarian artist, Dóra Maurer. Her art work spans 50 years, is contemporary, avant garde and based on mathematical systems. Dóra trained as a graphic artist in the 1950's and was at the centre of an independent community of artists in Hungary, who organised exhibitions during the socialist period. She has been a professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Budapest as well as a curator. You can see some of her works below.

Van Gogh's bedroom is now available on AirBnB!
In 2016, if you fancied an overnight stay with a difference, there was a chance to book Van Gogh's famous bedroom for the night on AirBnB. The Art Institute of Chicago
teamed up with Airbnb to install a 3D replica of Van Gogh's bedroom. The room was part of a larger apartment in the River North neighbourhood of Chicago and was big enough to sleep two people. Today,
you can rent a similar single room through Airbnb in Arles, France and it will cost you around £50 a night.

Here is an unusual art video which begins with a palette of 63 blobs of paint which is then transformed into the painting
below. A variety of tools are used including tin foil, large brush, ear buds and a small brush.
