We have just confirmed with Lynn and are delighted to announce the postponed art demo from last March can now go ahead, this time on Zoom. The set up should be the same as before but please check your emails from Glenda for instructions and any updates.

Let`s go to Rome!
This month we're off to sunny Rome to visit the Galleria Nazionale d'Arte which houses a large collection of contemporary paintings. We also visit the Vatican museums where we can have a 360 degree as well as a close up view of the work of Michaelangelo in the Sistine Chapel. In 2916/17 there was an event in the Galleria where the staff and public were invited to vote for the one portrait that epitomised beauty. You can see the selection below.

The Galleria's Beauty Contest in 2016/17

In 2016/17, the Galleria held a beauty contest event when they asked their own employees and the
public to vote for the most beautiful person displayed in the Galleria. This was based on physical appearance, demeanour and attitude, independent of the style or technical quality of the works. The
jury was to be the audience.
